Beautiful construction, didn’t fit, different fabric than shown

We sent measurements in for a custom fit and asked for a slight modification to the design to make the neckline more modest (less plunging) for a high school girl. The dress arrived one day early and the craftsmanship is beautiful. It’s fully lined, with boning, the stitches are small and regular and the dress was much more well-made than I’d expected. However the fabric in the photo appears flowy and glossy. In reality, it’s thicker and a little stiffer and less glossy. I like it, but my daughter was expecting something different based on the photo. We are also having to find a seamstress to alter the fit, as it is way too loose at the bust and waist, despite having sent in measurements. It’s possible we measured incorrectly. In all, I would absolutely order again from this retailer. They are very skilled and prompt in their delivery.
